TAKE A STEP BACK IN TIME
Our heritage open days are an excellent opportunity to visit one of the rarest surviving examples of an original Merchant’s house.
Start your journey in our grand entrance hall where you can view our preserved 350-year-old window dating back to when the building was first constructed.
You will then continue up the main staircase to the Grade 1 listed Great Room, which through time has hosted the likes of Winston Churchill and Charles Dickens. Enjoy delicious refreshments whilst taking in the stunning architecture reminiscent of 17th century Newcastle townhouses.
Finally, make your way to our rooftop viewing platform and experience the astonishing views of Newcastle spanning from Pilgrim Street and beyond to the Quayside.
